I love to teach in the clinic format because of the increased interactivity and opportunity in a group setting!  Each participant not only experiences his or her own activities and exercises, but will also learn from watching, evaluating, and interacting with the other participants, as well! There also seem to always be more "learning opportunities" and "teachable moments" in a group than in a private, one-on-one lesson.

 With that said, Drake Performance Horses offers clinics in the following:

Basic Horsemanship - for the very beginner rider through the intermediate rider;dealing with the horse on the ground and in the saddle; basic horse handling and riding skills

Horsemastership - for the intermediate and advanced rider; dealing with round pen training, advanced riding skills, and basic training methods

Advanced Horsemastership/Training the Trainer - for the advanced rider; dealing with advanced round pen training, advanced riding skills, and advanced training methods

Beginning Working Cowhorse - for the intermediate through advanced rider; dealing with the basics of working and controlling cattle on foot and from horseback

Intermediate Working Cowhorse - for the intermediate through advanced rider; dealing with more advanced cattle work from horseback; introduction to cutting, working/reined cowhorse & team penning, sorting & drafting

Team Penning & Sorting - for the intermediate through advanced rider; dealing with the application of cattle working skills and the intracacies of timing, position & team work needed in the sports of team penning and team sorting

Reined Cowhorse - for the intermediate through advanced rider; dealing with the dry work (reining), herd work (cutting), and fence work (working cowhorse) aspects of showing and competing in the reined cowhorse events
